Great Bride Speeches – The Result of Planning

Posted on Oct 25, 2009 under Bride Speeches | No Comment

I am happy to report that my bride speeches research and planning was worth it. I felt wonderful about the speech I gave and all the positive feedback I got. The result was worth the effort.

I remembered the five most important points and hardly needed my notes:

  1. I thanked everyone who helped with the planning and execution of the wedding making it the perfect day for me and a day I’ll always remember.
  2. I thanked my parents and family and had some very funny stories about growing up with my wonderful brothers and sisters.
  3. I thanked my husband’s family for being so warm and welcoming to me and how I already felt like I was part of their family.
  4. Then I had a really funny story about how I met my husband that was also very romantic. That gave me the opportunity to talk about what a truly amazing human being he is.
  5. Finally I thanked several people who had made such special contributions to who I am and helped to make this day happen.

I didn’t embarrass myself or start crying even once. I also remembered to not go on forever. No on likes a long speech.

Afterward everyone told me how funny and inspiring my speech had been. I think it will be one of the bride speeches they will always remember.

I hope my tips and advice will help you create a speech just as wonderful!
