Hi everybody, and welcome to my bride speeches tips blog. My name is Mary and I just got married two weeks ago. The thing that terrified me more than anything was having to give a speech at the reception. Tom, my husband, is very good at speaking in public and he wanted to give a speech to our guests. That was great, but the problem was that he wanted me to speak, too!
I’ve just never been able to say anything interesting in front of a group, partly because I always panic, but partly because I’ve just never learned what you are supposed to say in a speech. But I was determined I was going to give a good speech and really put a lot of time and effort into it. I am happy to report that my work paid off and everyone loved what I had to say.
I’m putting my notes on this blog in the hopes that other brides will be able to use them to have the success I had. (And don’t forget to just enjoy “your day”).
