There are only five things you needs to included in all perfect bride speeches. Follow my advice to create a speech they will cherish.

I am happy to report that my bride speeches research and planning was worth it. I felt wonderful about the speech I gave and all the positive feedback I got. The result was worth the effort.

I remembered the five most important points and hardly needed my notes:

I thanked everyone who helped with the planning and execution of the wedding making it the perfect day for me and a day I’ll always remember.

I thanked my parents and family and had some very funny stories about growing up with my wonderful brothers and sisters.

I thanked my husband’s family for being so warm and welcoming to me and how I already felt like I was part of their family.

Then I had a really funny story about how I met my husband that was also very romantic. That gave me the opportunity to talk about what a truly amazing human being he is.

Finally I thanked several people who had made such special contributions to who I am and helped to make this day happen.

I didn’t embarrass myself or start crying even once. I also remembered to not go on forever. No on likes a long speech.

Afterward everyone told me how funny and inspiring my speech had been. I think it will be one of the bride speeches they will always remember.

I hope my tips and advice will help you create a speech just as wonderful!

Great bride speeches include thanks to everyone involved mixed with funny or emotional stores about the attendees.

In the days leading up to your wedding you will be running around in circles trying to get everything organized and the last thing on your mind will be your wedding speech. I’ve learned that many brides find themselves in a panic as the nuptial day approaches thinking about THE SPEECH.

Every bride wants to give a memorable speech but there are so many other things to do: flowers, minister, venues, rings, gowns, food, drinks, honeymoon. Who has time to plan a great speech.

But if you give it a little time it isn’t really that hard. Most important is to speak from your heart, but equally important is to touch on all the important elements. All good bride speeches are basically a series of thank yous mixed with funny or heart-felt anecdotes about the people you love.

Try to think of something funny or special about everyone you want to mention and make notes to remind you. With a list of who needs to be thanked and your reminder notes of some great stories you will be sure to create a memorable bridal speech.

The most basic tip for your wedding speech is to be genuine and speak from your heart. And stay calm.

Not sure where to start? It’s really not all that hard. In a nutshell, the bride speech is the bride’s time to just tell the people she loves how she feels about them.

Don’t rush it. Breath deeply and stay calm. If you get emotional or stumble over a few lines everyone will understand that this is a big day for you and that you are feeling very emotional. Also, the bride speech is usually the last of the wedding toasts given by a member of the bridal party, except possibly the maid of honor, so you have longer to wait than the other speakers. The fathers, best man and groom get to have their say while you have to wait and worry. But don’t!

Where to start?

Your first thank yous should be a simple mentions of everyone who helped, including the hired staff. The second thank yous should be more personal. Mention everyone who put in effort to make this day happen. Say their names and the role they played.

Reserve an entire section of your speech to talk about your parents. Make them feel special by expressing your gratitude for what they have done.

Of course, another section should be about your husband. You want to let everyone know how amazing he is. Everyone loves to hear about how you first met, your first date and when you finally realized you were in love. A little bit of humor or heart-warming, or both, goes great here.

Whatever you say, say it from your heart and in your own way.

To create the perfect bride speeches you need to start with the outline of what you want to say. Here are my tips for what to include.

I was truly terrified when my fiance said we were each going to give a speech at our wedding. I’ve been planning my perfect wedding since I was 13 and, believe me, it did NOT include me giving a speech. But not wanting to disappoint him I agreed and set to work.

How I planned by bridal speech

I spent hours on the Internet and, if you are interested, you can just click here to see what I found to be the best source for bride speeches. The bridal speech is a lot like any speech but also very special and different in many ways.

Probably the first thing you want to do is thank everyone, especially the people who put in a lot of effort. Include everyone’s names as that makes them feel good and guarantees they will pay attention.

A good idea is to repeat your thank you’s again at the end of the speech very briefly. Include everyone in the wedding party, especially if someone had to come from very far away or you feel very honored that someone was able to come.

Of course don’t forget to mention your new husband. Express your love and gratitude for him and give a couple of examples. Try to get in some things both funny and romantic or emotional.

Finally, don’t forget to thank your parents because they created you and helped you become the person you are.

These steps make up the general outline of the speech. In my next post I’ll talk about some more particular details.
